Donors & Support

First of all, thank you! Thank you for your belief in learning by doing. Thank you for your support, your generosity, your enthusiasm, and your willingness to help our community. We appreciate each & every one of you! Below is a list of grantors, donors, & supporters that have helped make our Martinez Community Science Workshops possible.

Electrical & Plumbing Inc.

If you would like to support Science Workshops in Martinez, New Leaf Collaborative is now a 501c3 California Nonprofit Public Benefit Corporation so your donations are now tax-deductible.

Checks can be made payable to NEW LEAF COLLABORATIVE and sent to

New Leaf Collaborative
P.O. Box 131
Martinez, CA 94553.

You will receive a thank you and a receipt with our Federal tax ID number for your records and some great karma to go with it.

The Mission Science Workshop in San Francisco has also made several in-kind donations. Their first contribution was a collection of meal-worms at various stages to establish a new colony. Last year, we created our own Meal-worm life cycle display and several fourth grade students cared for the larva, the pupa and the beetles; they did a fantastic job and were very excited about the exploratory hands-on nature of the project. We will bring back the meal-worms when classes are focused on life science.

Thanks to EPI for the copper wire
for this stripped-down motor.

Thanks to Andy Hagin for the universal joint to make our Labyrinth swivel! Otherwise we would have had to keep picking it up with a partner to play.

A huge thanks to the Martinez Home Depot for donating a gift card that has enabled us to buy materials and create so many of the fun things in our Workshop.
